The Dicky Buckle Fund

The Dicky Buckle Fund is a registered charity (Charity number: 116 3430) and was inspired by one of England’s most promising young talents. The fund has been named in tribute to the wonderfully colourful Dicky Buckle, critic, author and exhibitor.

The fund is presided over by: Sir Henry and Lady Rumbold, Charles Graham QC and Henry Lancaster.

IF you have been to Hatch House on any of the past 8 years you will have seen works produced by young creatives who have been helped and supported by The Dicky Buckle Fund. We hope that these works have inspired you to visit this page and pledge your support to the DBF and its activities.

This page tells you a little about our membership and ways you can support the Dicky Buckle Fund CIO.

The sign-up which has three levels of support. It is a common (mis-)conception that you need to give a lot to change a lot or spend a lot to get a lot. We hope you will see from this brief membership package that this is not the case.
The DBF and CGDC receive no arts funding at present and rely entirely on self-generated finances and revenue streams.

The DBF ‘micro finance’ membership plan has an eye on the wallet and an eye on value for money. Even the smallest amounts of support make a huge difference to all the DBF’s endeavours.

The DBF would like to carry on with its ambitions and we really hope you will help us to realise these.

The Supporter Programme is one of the most important initiatives that The DBF has. Over the next year we are aiming to grow our Supporters membership to over a thousand members and beyond. This will provide not only hugely important funding enabling us to create new work by emerging and aspiring creatives but also in part provide security and salaries for our dedicated team of creatives and volunteers enabling further work to be undertaken.

Please have a read and do get in touch with us if there is anything you would like to know further.

We thank you in advance for your support.

It is without doubt a select group who support and enable important new artistic ventures and have the broad mindedness to understand and identify that by supporting the arts they are supporting an industry that gives us the much needed sustenance to sustain us not only through times of prosperity but also through the darker and more difficult times. During the last recession the West End posted the largest attendance figures in its history; cast iron proof of the value of the arts to our communities and economy.

The Dicky Buckle Fund is committed to funding new and exciting work that not only entertains and engages but finances emerging creative talents when they needs it most. It is given to continue its educational work in developing new audience and inspiring the next generation.

All sizes of donation and contributions are welcome and if you are not able to support the DBF financially, we are always in need of sponsorship, volunteers, advice, legal support, marketing ……and the list goes on,
One of the best ways of supporting us is to sign up to the above membership programme. Please support the DBF.
